I have chosen an intrepid road. Give to me dirt-soaked soles and snaky roots that merge with grace on their journey to the sacred center of all things.

A Serendipitous Invitation

I am so happy to announce that Registration for the Serendipity Retreat is now open!

Michelle Madden Smith and I are so excited to be hosting this beautiful retreat by the sea. We call this gathering Serendipity…we intend it to be a playful celebration of spirit and the sea. True to the meaning of the word, you might not find what you think you are seeking here, but we promise that what finds you will be well worth the journey. We would love for you to join us!

We have an amazing group of teachers and have developed a series of full-day classes, each with a focus on some playful and/or sacred aspect of soul restoration…a bit of visioning, art, photography, writing, yoga, and some practical magic. There is also a day planned specifically for self-care, so you may return home rested and refueled.

Eight women, each with a unique passion and voice will serve as your guides – Kate Inglis, Hannah Marcotti, Maya Stein, Amy Tingle, Melody Ross, Madelyn Mulvaney, myself and Michelle Madden Smith.

We will be retreating in large, beautiful cottages on the beach in Nags Head in the Outer Banks of North Carolina – a string of barrier islands gracefully sweeping out into the Atlantic Ocean. You will wake to the sun rising over the ocean each morning and the waning moon will join us in the evenings. This is one retreat that will truly feel like a vacation.

You can learn more about Serendipity HERE. If you have any questions or thoughts please contact us: michelle@animyst.com or jen@animyst.com

We hope you to see you there!

Leave the familiar for a while.

Let your senses and bodies stretch out
Like a welcomed season
Onto the meadow and shores and hills.

Open up to the Roof.
Make a new watermark on your excitement
And love.

Like a blooming night flower,
Bestow your vital fragrance of happiness
And giving
Upon our intimate assembly.

Change rooms in your mind for a day.

All the hemispheres in existence
Lie beside an equator
In your heart.

Greet Yourself
In your thousand other forms
As you mount the hidden tide and travel
Back home.

All the hemispheres in heaven
Are sitting around a fire

While stitching themselves together
Into the Great Circle inside of

So look within yourself for a moment of silence…take a breath…quiet your mind and open your soul…and with your remembering, you will find your way back to the truth of who you are, and your divine presence will be your gift to the planet.

It is time to begin to stretch yourselves beyond the wildest considerations of who you are and what is possible to do. You come with infinite capacity to create the entire wondrous panorama of the lives you are living. emmanuel
