March 02, 2009
what if you received...

gold hill, colorado
....a letter in the mail today:
from your parents, telling you how proud they are of you...
from your boss, telling you that all your hard work does not go unnoticed...
from your teacher (whom you think hates you) telling you how wonderfully
creative she thinks you are...
from someone you hurt, telling you that you are forgiven.
for someone who hurt you, saying they are sorry.
from your partner/ spouse/ reminding you are the greatest love of their life...
from your son or daughter, simply saying "thank you..."
from your friend, letting you know you are never alone and so dearly cared for...
from your ex, wishing you the best and the happiest life possible....
from a stranger, thanking you for being kind to them one day many years ago.....
from a child, telling you that they love you......
It is the most simple act in many ways,
a pen, a piece of paper, a stamp, an envelope...
one sentence, could change a life, or certainly make
an awful day end beautifully.
if there was one letter you would write this week,
who would it be to and what would you say? .....
