it was~
a note from an old friend,
an incredible massage from an absolute angel,
no line at the driver's license facility,
a quiet walk down by the river,
a surprise package in the mail,
the warm air that melted the ice,
a visit from the biggest hawk i have ever seen,
the kitty who slept on my lap as i did my work,
a long, hot bath while listening to van morrison,
my husband coming home early and cooking a delicious dinner...

its days like today that remind me how lucky i am,
and how kind my life is...
this is not to say i havent had my share of horrible times,
but maybe its those bad ones that make me so aware
of when a good one surrounds me.
